The Acros Organics Dowex 50WX8 is a high-capacity strong acid cation exchange resin, featuring sulfonic acid groups that facilitate efficient cation exchange. Presented in a fine 100-200 mesh form, it is particularly suitable for analytical separations, deionization, and sample preparation. With a moist bead or spherical physical form, this resin has a wet volume capacity in the H form of a minimum of 1.7 meq/mL and retains 50 to 58% water. Its color ranges from beige to brown and is insoluble in water. Each batch is packaged in a plastic bottle and consists of 2.5 kg. Despite being an older instrument, it remains unused with only minor cosmetic issues.
