Description
The Apex DNA Extraction PCR Kit contains Apex DNA extraction solution and Taq DNA Polymerase 2X Master Mix RED. The non-toxic Apex DNA Extraction Solution is designed to make PCR-ready DNA extraction simple. Mouse tails, ear snips, liver, kidney, lung and plant leaves, as well as saliva, can all be used to harvest DNA. The one-step lysis is separated into two simple heating processes and executed in either a thermocycler or a heating block. Without any additional processing such as vortexing, centrifugation, or dilutions, the extracted DNA is ready for PCR. DNA extraction from fish fins and bird feathers is comparable, but effective as lysis necessitates a longer incubation time.
The Taq DNA Polymerase 2X Master Mix RED for PCR is used to amplify the extracted DNA. The user can load amplified PCR samples directly to the DNA gel using the red dye and stabilizer in the master mix formulation. The red color also aids in pipetting and mixing visibility.
