Description
TBE (TRIS Borate EDTA) is often used in procedures involving nucleic acids, the most common being electrophoresis, Northern, and Southern blots. Tris-acid solutions are effective buffers for slightly basic conditions, which keep DNA deprotonated and soluble in water.
