Description
Bromothymol Blue, Water Soluble is used as an acid-base indicator, a color marker and a dye. As a dye, at neutral pH, it absorbs red light most strongly and transmits blue light. Solutions of the dye therefore are blue. At low pH, the dye appears yellow in solution. Ungraded products supplied by LabChem are indicative of a grade suitable for general industrial use or research purposes and typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use.
