Description
The VWR 89000-378 Filtering Flask and the KIMAX 27060-50 Filtering Flask both feature heavy-wall construction to safely withstand high vacuum pressures. They are equipped with a sidearm hose barb designed to connect securely to vacuum tubing. Both models have a 50 ml capacity and are designed to fit a No. 4 rubber stopper. These flasks are primarily used as the receiving vessel in vacuum filtration setups. By connecting the sidearm to a vacuum pump or aspirator, liquid is drawn through a filter placed in the neck. Some more common practical applications include microscale purification, safe pressure handling, and solid-liquid separation.
