The PYREX 5640-5 Class A Volumetric Flask is a high-precision piece of laboratory glassware used for preparing solutions of exact, known concentrations, particularly in analytical chemistry. This is a small-volume flask, ideal for procedures that require precise measurement of microliter-scale reagents or for preparing small batches of standards. It comes with a fitted #8 glass stopper to securely seal the contents, preventing evaporation and contamination during mixing or storage. Volumetric flasks are calibrated to contain (TC) a very precise volume of liquid when filled to the calibration mark on the neck. The 5 mL size is used for preparing standard solutions and dilution.
