Description
Blood Agar Base No. 2 is used for the isolation and identification of the hemolytic activity of Streptococci, Pneumococci, and other fastidious microorganisms. Peptose, Liver Digest, and Yeast Extract provide nutrients like amino acids, peptides, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. Sodium Chloride maintains osmotic balance and Agar serves as gelifying agent.
