Bovine Calf Serum, Iron Fortified, US Origin, 500 mL. RMBIO produces US origin iron supplemented calf serum for use in cell culture media. Supplementing iron to calf serum can enhance serum transferrin levels and in many cases be a much less expensive alternative to FBS in promoting cell growth and its effectiveness. The average endotoxin level is < 2 EU/ml (the specification is ± 10.0 EU/ml) and the average hemoglobin level is < 15 mg/dL (the specification is < 30 mg/dL). The calf serum is sterile 0.2 um filtered, 9CFR tested, and is manufactured at RMBIO's GMP compliant, ISIA traceability certified, and FDA registered facility. Product should be stored at ± -10° C.
