Hydrobromic Acid, 48 Percent, Reagent is a mineral acid and one of the strongest known. Mostly used as a reagent in the generation of organobromine compounds, it can also be used to produce inorganic bromides. The Reagent grade denotes that this chemical is the highest quality commercially available and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
