LB Broth (Lennox L Broth) is a liquid medium used for the growth and maintenance of E. coli, being used in molecular microbiology processes. This nutrient-rich microbial broth contains peptides, amino acids and carbohydrates in a low-salt formulation. Enzymatic Digest of Casein supplies amino acids and peptides. Yeast Extract is a source of B-complex vitamins and minerals. Sodium Chloride provides essential electrolytes and maintains the osmotic equilibrium.
