The Linde ProStar Platinum PRS301233 is a high-purity dual-stage gas regulator designed for applications requiring extremely stable delivery pressure, even as the source cylinder pressure depletes.
While a single-stage regulator’s delivery pressure can “creep” upward as the tank empties, the dual-stage design of the ProStar Platinum series utilizes two internal chambers to reduce pressure in two steps, providing a constant and precise output. This makes it the preferred choice for analytical laboratory applications such as carrier gas for gas chromatography (GC) or supplying high-sensitivity research instruments.
Constructed with a chrome-plated brass body and a 316L stainless steel diaphragm, the PRS301233 is engineered to maintain gas purity by preventing atmospheric diffusion and “off-gassing” common with industrial-grade rubber components. This specific model is designed for an inlet pressure of up to 3000 psig and provides a controllable delivery range of 0–125 psig.
As seen in the image, it features high-visibility 2-inch dual-scale gauges for monitoring both tank and line pressure, along with a fine-control needle valve on the outlet for precise flow adjustment. The unit is typically cleaned for oxygen service and includes a sintered inlet filter to protect the internal seats from particulate contamination.
