Metrohm 60342110 Generator Electrode without Diaphragm is a specialized electrode used in KFT Coulometry to electrically generate the iodine titrant needed for the water analysis. In this single-chamber setup, the generating and indication processes occur in the same volume of reagent. The generator electrode is the heart of the coulometric cell. It allows the amount of water in the sample to be calculated precisely based on the total charge (coulombs) required to generate enough iodine to react with all the water present, according to Faraday’s Law of Electrolysis.
