MYP (Mannitol Egg Yolk Polymyxin) Agar Base is a selective and differential culture medium designed for the isolation and enumeration of Bacillus cereus from food samples and environmental specimens. This dehydrated culture medium base, when supplemented with egg yolk emulsion and polymyxin B, enables reliable detection of presumptive B. cereus colonies through characteristic mannitol fermentation and lecithinase activity.
