Tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane, Ultrapure, more commonly referred to as TRIS or TRISMAT is largely used in molecular biology and biochemistry especially for solutions of nucleic acids. It is used as a buffer for a range of 7 to 9 and coincides with the pH of most living organisms. Spectrum’s Ultrapure grade products are suitable for use where the lowest levels of metals, organics, and particulates are required. These materials meet or exceed the specifications as listed in Reagent Chemicals published by the American Chemical Society.
