Uranyl Nitrate, Hexahydrate, Crystal, Reagent, ACS is a yellow green crystal and is water soluble as well as being soluble in acetone, ethanol and ether. It is mainly used as a negative stain for viruses in electron microscopy. It also stabilizes nucleic acids and cell membranes in tissue samples and is also vital for nuclear reprocessing. As an ACS grade reagent, Spectrum Chemical manufactured compound is used as the quality standard against which other substances are grade and has met the toughest regulatory standards for quality and pureness.
