Description
The VWR Pyrex rotary evaporator bump trap is a safety accessory used to prevent sudden boiling, or “bumping,” of a solvent from carrying liquid into the condenser coil during rotary evaporation. This protects the recovered solvent and the condenser from contamination. This configuration provides flexibility, allowing a user to protect the system when working with smaller flasks that have a 14/20 joint. The entire unit is made from Pyrex borosilicate glass, ensuring durability, chemical resistance, and the ability to withstand temperature changes.
